Petitions for local office are due by 5:00 on the 6th Monday before the Election date. A petition requires at least 30 valid signatures of registered voters of South Burlington. Any questions, please contact the City Clerk's office.
We strongly encourage anyone who is considering running for any city or school officers to please contact the City Clerk's office to get the appropriate forms and to get some guidance on filling out petitions and deadlines. Please make sure that before obtaining signatures on your petition that the entire top portion of the petition is filled out otherwise those signatures cannot be used.
