Happiness Can Be Found In A Gymnasium During The Winter

After having to take a year off, we are excited to be running our Youth Basketball program once again.  The eyes say it all.  Though players, coaches, referees and spectators all remain masked, we can see the smiles in everyone’s eyes.

South Burlington Senior Center will be an AARP Tax- Aide Location

Starting on Fridays in February, the South Burlington Senior Center will be a location for AARP Tax- Aide volunteers to assist with 2021 tax returns.

US Fish & Wildlife Service Conduct Habitat Management Work at Wheeler Nature Park

In November 2021, the City Council authorized signature for an agreement with the US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) to conduct habitat management work at Wheeler Nature Park through their Partners for Fish & Wildlife Program.  This work is funded through the USFWS partners program, and mainly involves invasive plant removal at Wheeler in order to improve habitat for priority birds as identified by Audubon Vermont.  This work is slated to begin in February or March 2022, and will continue until the identified work has been completed or the agreement ends (December 2031).  For more information on this project, please read the full story here.  You can also contact Ashley Parker for more information (
